Freyaluna – Rose & Jojoba Nourishing Body Oil
[SK]INTENTION: I AM LOVE
The scent of rose has a soothing effect on the emotions, easing nervous tension and stress. It is reputed to induce relaxation, provide a sense of calm. This ultra-feminine scent is said to give a woman positive feelings about herself… and who wouldn’t want a bit of that every now and again?
Jojoba oil helps to soften and protect the skin while improving suppleness and leaving skin with a velvety feel. Jojoba oil is suitable (and beneficial!) to all skin types, and has been seen to offer relief to those with skin complaints such as eczema and psoriasis. It contains a substance called myristic acid which has anti-inflammatory actions. Since it is similar in composition to our skin’s own oils, jojoba oil is quickly and easily absorbed, making it excellent for dry and mature skins.
As well as its fragrant benefits (mentioned above), rose contains an array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and has excellent emollient properties for moisturising dry skin, as well as anti-inflammatory properties that help treat redness and inflammation. Rose can also help refine skin texture, controlling skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. A study has even shown that rose essential oil can help heal wounds, as inhaling it inhibits water loss in the skin and lowers the concentration of cortisol (a stress hormone) in the body.
Chamomile is a very soothing scent, and can help to ease anxiety, tension, and anger. Chamomile is popular choice for easing the irritable effects of PMS and menopause. Chamomile has an analgesic action which helps to dull muscle aches and pains, particularly when these aches are linked to nerves or stress. The soothing quality works wonders for the skin as well as the mind, and can be helpful for many skin conditions. Chamomile also has a reputation for improving the elasticity of the skin and strengthening skin tissue.
